My Autostick knob w/ a boot!
Some good ole PRND-+ goodness.
fun fact: when I bought the car it was full auto. After a year or so I harvested the dash cluster, shifter mechanism and wiring harness from a Stratus RT with autostick and spliced it into my own ride.

That knob is grotesque and misshapen. You disgust me.

I recently discovered that the Euro Neon received both an autostick and a leather interior. Currently debating feasability of a swap.

That actually looks pretty nice. The shift looks the same. If its the same setup as the Stratus/Sebring you just need the mechanism base (so the shifter can rock back and forth) the plug (molex connector) and splice 2 wires then 1 ground and 1 power - it's that easy. OH you also need a dash with autostick. I got fancy white face gauges out of it.

My car came with the white gauges (SXT ftw) but according to some forum posts you may actually need to swap TCMs to make it work due to differences between the US and Euro versions, some USDM cars don't have input connectors for the up/downshift sensors.
What does the dash have to do with it? Is it just a display for the gear you're in? Cause the Neon didn't have that at all for any transmission type.

I believe it's just for telling you the gear. And I vaguely remember hearing that about the tcm as well. it'd be worth it though if you can find the parts cheap - makes it so much more fun

The lack of gear indicator is one of the few things that bothers me about my car. That black semicircle under the speedo serves as odometer and a message center (door open, trac off, etc) but the one under the tach is just blank plastic. Would it have killed Chrysler to put a gear indicator there? I've seen it on Sebrings of the same year, so you'd think it would be easy to do.

Hey wanna see an easter egg for your car? Mine has a secret gauge self test, and I've heard it works on other Chrysler cars of the era as well. Put the key in "on", then hold the trip reset button for a few seconds. While still holding it, turn the key to "run" and the needles should sweep up and down.
